Web
Development: How we work with you
There are four main stages to a Web
Development project:
- Design
- Development
- Marketing
- Maintenance
Designing an Effective Website
The first and most important stage is the design.
Though most Web Designers and design houses will spend
sufficient time on this part of the project, their attention
is normally too heavily focused on the appearance and
functionality of the website, rather than how effective
it will be at meeting its purpose and aims.
Our Web Strategy Consultants work
very closely with you to determine your requirements
and the needs of your customers. We can then produce
a design that will meet these requirements and bring
real benefits.
The design of the website will normally
be supported by a Web Consulting project, allowing us
to analyse your existing web and marketing strategies
and to research how the Internet is used by your competitors.
Development
The second stage is the actual development of the site.
We have the knowledge and experience to carry out all
of the work on your website, with projects including
dynamic and database-driven websites, secure online
shopping and mobile Internet.
You will be involved throughout the
development of the site to give your feedback. The development
stage of the project will include regular prototypes
and ongoing evaluation and improvement.
Marketing & Promotion
Once the production of the site is complete, a Web Marketing
plan can be produced to maximise the effectiveness of
your new web strategy. This plan would include online
promotion through search engines, advertising and directories,
but will also take into account your offline marketing
activities, such as direct mail, brochures and corporate
stationery.
Maintenance
The final and ongoing stage of the Web Development project
is Web Maintenance. The time and money spent on a website
can be easily wasted if it is not regularly updated,
improved and promoted. We will produce a long-term Web
Maintenance plan to ensure that your website remains
as effective as it was designed to be.
